Architect Backend

Job Objective JiBe is a cloud based fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry. Our goal is to allow shipping companies to improve productivity, efficiency and safety levels, while reducing costs. JiBe ERP enables increased automation and streamlining of processes, creating pre-defined workflows and reducing the usage of email and paper. JiBe is looking for a top-notch engineer to join our team. You will have an opportunity to directly impact our growing team. Job Responsibilities • Become the technical focal point for the development efforts of an agile group alongside hands-on development (when applicable) and system design of one or more sub-systems. • Work alongside the group manager and the group members to ensure successful task deliveries and provide solutions for business needs. • Be part of a team that is responsible for the architecture and quality of JiBe’s entire solution. The team reports directly to the VP of R&D. • Verify and maintain a high level of development and delivery standards for your group as defined by the organization’s policies. Qualifications • A minimum of 10 years software development experience (mainly backend or full stack development). • At least 5 years leading system-level designs and architecture for entire web-based solutions or substantial sub-systems. • Minimum 3 years of experience as a designer/architect of large scale and high-performance distributed systems. • A minimum of 7 years development and code-level design experience with Node.js, C# or Java. • At least 2 years of experience with relational databases. • Practical and substantial experience with microservices architecture and event-based systems. • Practical and substantial experience with development quality methodologies and testing. • Practical familiarity with OOP, design patterns and SOLID principles. • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Self-driven and works well with minimal supervision as part of a diverse team. • Proficiency in verbal and written English communication. Advantageous Qualifications A person cannot be an expert on everything, but if you have experience with one or more of the following, it can be an advantage for you and your team: • Customer and product driven. • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with NoSQL databases. • Hands-on experience with AWS and its services. • Comfortable working with Windows and Linux as production environments. • Experience with agile methodologies. • Experience collaborating with international technical managers and colleagues.
